We offer a range of courses to support you to develop your employability and work skills. The qualifications have been devised with the aim to progress learners into further learning and/or employment. The vast range of units available can be used to create individualised learning programmes tailored to learners’ needs whilst enabling those learners to achieve or work towards a national qualification and improve their opportunities for progression.
You will work towards the right level qualification for you following an initial assessment.

• Routes into….
gives you the chance to explore what it would be like to work in specific area of employment and what this employment could offer you. The workshops will help you to think about if this kind of work is right for you, and what you need to do to be ready to apply for the job you would like.
Routes into courses are available in the following areas:
- Business Administration
- Customer Services
• Award or Certificate Preparation for Employment
• Award or Certificate in Employability Skills
• Award or Certificate In Progression
These qualifications are a flexible and responsive range of general and pre-vocational qualifications. The qualifications consist of a range of core units to provide opportunities for learners to develop skills in the areas such as literacy, numeracy, ICT, employability, learning to learn and personal development; plus a range of ‘taster’ units in different sector specific areas providing opportunities for learners to test out their abilities and personal preferences before selecting a chosen career or employment route.
• Award In Skills for Volunteers
A qualification at Level 2 designed to enable you to identify volunteering opportunities, prepare for and undertake a volunteering role, and reflect on your own practice. The qualification has been designed to be relevant to volunteers preparing for a wide range of different volunteering roles in different contexts.
• Award or Certificate In Enterprise
This qualification is particularly suitable for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities or with Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND), including those with complex needs, who will benefit from a course that develops skills valuable in an employment context, through participating in enterprise activity.
Courses are fully funded for unemployed or low waged learners aged 19+ in the academic year and who have lived in the EEA for at least 3 years who demonstrate a need for the course. Courses maybe co-funded for other eligible learners.

A traineeship programme is designed to give 16 to 24 year olds the opportunity to expand their skills and give them the chance to take their next step, whether that’s work, an apprenticeship or further training.
