We work in partnership with Children’s Centres to support parents who are looking to develop their skills – either to support families or to help individuals return to work.
We have a programme of Family Learning which often is delivered from Children’s Centre premises. We also provide advice to individual parents who would like careers advice to plan their career direction and return to employment.
To find out more about how you can access our help please contact your local Children’s Centres.
We work in partnership with Job Centres to support the local population into work – this might be from a period of unemployment or following recent redundancy. Services that we offer include careers advice, support with CV development and other job hunting skills and also referral into courses run by ourselves and our sub-contractors.
Destination Employment is a course run over three days that we run for Job Centre customers and this course is designed to prepare job seekers so that they can search for jobs online, present a positive CV and perform positively in interviews. Ask at your Job Centre for more details.
National Careers Service Advisers give support with career direction or job hunting on an individual appointment basis – either on Jobcentre premises or from a local library.
